JENKINTOWN LIBRARY
Jenkintown Library provides the public with free access to the Internet and other electronic resources. The workstations will be turned on upon opening and turned off approximately one half hour before closing.
Users are to register with the library staff at the Circulation Desk to use an internet workstations. Users will be allotted at least 1/2 hour for a computer session with additional time at the discretion of the librarian.
By using Jenkintown Library's internet connection, users
agree to abide by the rules and procedures of the Jenkintown Library,
Montgomery County Library Information and Network Consortium (MCLINC), the
Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (Internet provider), and laws mandated by
the U.S. Congress, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Parents or guardians of minor children, 12-18 years old, assume responsibility for the children's use of the Internet through the library's connection. An adult must accompany children under the age of 12.
Jenkintown Library has no control over the content or accuracy of the information found on the Internet. It is up to the individual user to determine the validity and reliability of the information.
No user should attempt to tamper, modify or vandalize software or hardware configurations provided by the library. Violations of these rules will result in the suspension of his/her Internet privileges and use of library facilities.
