ABOUT US Jenkintown Library is funded by several sources: tax revenues from the Borough, state aid from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, fundraising, and donations. The Library Board of Directors, which consists of a maximum of 15 members, meets September - June on the second Monday of the month at 7:30 PM in the library's Community Room. Our Mission The purpose of Jenkintown Library is to promote reading and the free expression of ideas; actively support the community's educational, cultural, business & technology information needs, and manage and preserve our historical legacy. Friends of the Jenkintown Library The Friends of the Jenkintown Library are an enthusiastic group of Jenkintown Library supporters who through hard work and dedication organize and supervise library fundraising events; preserve the library’s historical presence in the community; and act as an advocacy group for our library.
