Membership Residents Residents of Jenkintown Borough are eligible to register for a free borrower’s card renewable every three years. The library will require identification containing the name and current mailing address of the applicant. Children/young adults under 18 years of age will be issued a card with the signature of a parent or legal guardian. All residents will receive an ACCESS PA stick on their library card that enable them to borrow materials at public libraries in Pennsylvania. The card will be issued at time of application. Children To be eligible for a library card, children must be 5 years old and be able to write his/her own name. Parents and/or a legal guardian must co-sign the card. Parents and/or legal guardians are responsible for fines/fees for children under 18. The card will be issued at time of application. Non-Residents Pennsylvania residents who do not reside in Jenkintown should obtain a library card from his/her home library with an ACCESS PA sticker. Business owners and/or individuals who do not live in Jenkintown, but who work in Jenkintown are eligible to apply for a card that is renewable every year. Identification of name, home address, and workplace address is required. The card will be issued at time of application. Other Information About Your Library Card Library users with Internet access can check their own personal borrowing records either from home or within the library. A password is required. Ask the staff about this helpful feature.
